Kirsten and the girls had a Halloween party at one of the beaches of Dar es Salaam. Looks like Pippa and Astrid had a great time with their friends all dressed up. Pippa dressed as a vampire bat and Astrid was a crazy animal-testing make-up lady



I was really impressed with the cake which Kirsten and Pippa worked on.

We've been back from vacation for a few weeks now but haven't spent much time working on the bathroom. We did manage to install the toilet before going away and just recently finished putting in the pedestal sink and attaching the mirror to the wall.



Installing the sink was more difficult than we had imagined. It was difficult to get the sink level and also to mount it on the pedestal so it looked centered. Hooking up the plumbing was an absolute nightmare and we almost flooded the bathroom twice. We think it looks fabulous but I would not want to go through any of it again.

After a long break I'm back and ready to start posting again.

Alex and I spent 2 weeks in Germany (visiting Berlin and Breman) and England (visiting Liverpool, Gloucester, and London). Will post photos on Kodakgallery.com soon. Once home Alex got really sick and I followed him the week after. I think we're both back to almost perfect health and picking up where we left off before the trip.

THE BATHROOM is still to be finished. We have installed the pedestal sink and put up the mirror. The bath-surround tile will be started over the weekend. Pictures coming soon.
