The Ceiling Comes Down
We are exhausted after a busy day pulling down the ceiling. Alex actually pulled it all down but I did help in the clean up.
Here we have Alex hard at work and, through no fault of his own, exhibiting a huge fashion faux pas with his dark socks and sneakers because I hadn't done any laundry this past week. He's hugely embarrassed! Well, I think I'm more embarrassed than he is.
He did such a great job and after we (and I do mean 'we') cleaned up this is what we are left with - a completely empty room.
We are well on the way to our new bathroom.

i didn't know you guys wanted to do the bathroom ceilin as well. wow, it looks like you guys did such a hard work this weekend!! how come the black socks look cook to me:) ha ha:)

Even Treasury Secretary Geithner believes the debt limit is legally binding and can only be raised by Congress. If Mr. Obama listened to Bill Clinton, it would be just another socialist attempt try to circumvent the constitution. The Congress had better be looking out for this to put a stop to any attempt by President Obama to go around Congress on this issue.

In June, House Majority Leader Cantor "Was Explicit That He Wants A Single Debt Ceiling Vote For This Congress - Not A Series Of Short-Term Extensions." Now House Republicans are arguing that we should adopt multiple short term solutions that would leave that cloud of uncertainty hanging over our economy continually for the next two years, if not longer.

You can see reasons why it would be advantageous politically, for congressional Republicans to force the next debt ceiling fight to occur during the election year. Among other things, it would help their positioning as the more fiscally responsible party in 2012 to have another debt-ceiling fight raging in tandem with their campaigns.
